Glasstire's Fourth Talking Texas Art Panel to Take Place at Tyler Museum of Art
To mark its 25th anniversary, Glasstire will organize eight panel discussions across Texas in 2026. The fourth event in the Talking Texas Art series is set for Sunday, August 23, at 2:30 p.m. CDT, hosted at the Tyler Museum of Art. Panelists will include Candace Hicks, an interdisciplinary artist and professor at Stephen F. Austin State University; Caleb Bell, the Tyler Museum of Art’s executive director and a writer for Glasstire; O. Rufus Lovett, a photographer and curator from Longview; and freelance writer John Ewing from Tyler. William Sarradet, Glasstire’s assistant editor, will moderate the discussion. Each session will focus on regional artists and critics discussing local art and arts writing over the last 25 years, covering various Texas regions.
