Germinale – Monferrato Art Fest Returns for Third Edition Across 19 Piedmont Towns
The third installment of Germinale – Monferrato Art Fest, overseen by Francesca Canfora and organized by Quasi Fondazione Carlo Gloria, is set to take place from 11 September to 4 October 2026. This event will span 19 municipalities and 30 locations throughout Monferrato, Piedmont, Italy. Entitled Di marne feconde, un mare, it showcases the work of 65 artists, including those involved in the Selva Art Prize and The Monferriner projects. Key locations include the Infernot cavities in Vignale and the ex Teatro Ipogeo in Portacomaro. Luigi Mainolfi will be honored with a lifetime achievement award. Community initiatives will see 460 children crafting 'fossils of the present,' alongside a permanent mural by Carlo Gloria. The festival's title is inspired by Germinal, the month of germination in the French revolutionary calendar.
