Jack, a distribution company based in Oslo and established in 2021 by Lene Berg, Cato Fossum, Mariken Halle, and others, is set to unveil its streaming service on October 10 at www.jjjack.no. Developed by board member Magnus Lysbakken, the platform empowers artists to determine rental fees while ensuring user privacy by not collecting any data. It includes additional content such as texts and deleted scenes, managed by board member Ina Hagen. The launch event will take place at Vega scene during the Mirage film festival, featuring a panel discussion and Taiwanese cuisine prepared by artists Yu Shuk Pui Bobby and Abel Robsahm. The inaugural film, Open Call (2024) by Sille Storihle, is commissioned by Oslo Kommune. Jack also runs a monthly screening series and a biannual conversation series.
