Festival Off d'Avignon 2026: 60th Edition with 1,432 Companies and Mediterranean Focus

The Festival Off d'Avignon celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2026, running from July 4 to 25 in alignment with the official Festival d'Avignon (the "IN"). This convergence, supported by the city and the state, aims to unify the heart of the Cité des Papes in celebrating contemporary creation. The 2026 edition features 1,432 companies and highlights the Mediterranean region. New initiatives include the Émergence & Création fund to support companies, the Assises de la diffusion at the Village du Off addressing sector issues, and the Village TADAMM! dedicated to children and families. The Village du Off will host over 400 events organized by AF&C. Among the notable performances: "Humanistes" by Pierre Jouvencel, a play tracing French republican history from Mirabeau to Badinter, inspired by the assassination of Samuel Paty; "Un homme assis" adapted from Gabriel García Márquez's only play, a feminist monologue performed by Catherine Alias; "Votre corps me parle" by Marine Le Clézio, a dance and body expression show; and "Apollinaire Éclats d'amour" by Stéphane Titeca, performed by Pierre Jouvencel, exploring the poet's life and loves during World War I.
