FAST: Europe's largest cultural district opens in Romainville with free festival
Launched in 2019 as Komunuma, the Fiminco Art Studios (FAST) in Romainville has grown significantly, increasing its size from 11,000 m² to 40,000 m², thus establishing itself as "the largest cultural district in Europe." This development features a residence for students and artists designed by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, an open-air theater surrounded by 100 trees, and additional structures scheduled to debut in June 2026. The district is home to galleries such as Jocelyn Wolff and the Fiminco Foundation. A free festival will take place from June 18 to 27, 2026, highlighting a launch evening with performances by Olivier Py and Blanca Li, an open-air screening of Singin' in the Rain, family-friendly activities, and a rave by Les Apaches!, celebrating FAST's entry into live performances.
