Dream Baby Press Hosts 'I Love New York' Reading Aboard Tall Ship Wavertree

On August 26, 2026, Dream Baby Press, founded by Matt Starr in 2022, held its first 'I Love New York' reading aboard the Tall Ship Wavertree, an 1885 cargo ship preserved by the South Street Seaport Museum. The event featured 15 performers, including Jemima Kirke, Chi Ossé, Orna Guralnik, Carole Radziwill, Angela Trimbur, Desus Nice, and Mel Ottenberg, who read love letters to New York City. The audience of 500 enjoyed Joe's pizza, Chandon spritzes, and champagne. Notable readings included Jonathan Boulware's rendition of E.B. White's 'Here Is New York' and Mel Ottenberg's selection from 'The Andy Warhol Diaries'. Starr described the event as his 'love letter to the city', inspired by romantic comedies like 'Annie Hall' and 'When Harry Met Sally'. The event aimed to bring together people who make New York unique, with Starr emphasizing his desire to create experiences he read about growing up in Indiana.
