In early 2022, Dot Go made its public debut as the inaugural object interaction application designed for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Unlike traditional object detection applications, Dot Go employs an "if x then y" logic to link identified objects with customizable actions, enabling it to initiate both internal responses and external functions in various apps and devices. Utilizing open-source computer vision models ensures its accuracy, and users can either create or download presets. Accessories such as lanyards and active shirts facilitate hands-free usage. Following a beta launch in 2021, the app received $140,000 in funding from the Inter-Developmental American Bank (IDB) and Born2Global, promoting tourism accessibility in Latin America. It is available for free on the App Store and is accessed daily by thousands.
