Dezeen Overhauls Website for First Time in a Decade, Partnering with Made by On

digital · 2026-10-21

Dezeen has unveiled a revamped website for the first time since 2016, partnering with Made by On to upgrade its outdated systems. Co-CEOs Benedict Hobson and Wai Shin Li prioritized stability, speed, and a reduced carbon footprint by optimizing images and transitioning hosting to The Positive Internet Company, which operates on 100% renewable energy. The internal framework now handles search and recommendations. Designer Micha Weidmann updated the brand guidelines initially established for the site launched by Marcus Fairs in 2006. The redesign features a reverse-chronological homepage, diverse image sizes, a streamlined menu, and enhanced article layouts. Hobson and Li highlighted the significance of human-generated journalism in contrast to AI content. Updates for dezeenjobs.com are anticipated shortly.
