Design Parade marks 20 years in Hyères with post-colonial focus
In 2026, the Design Parade in Hyères, France, marked its 20th anniversary at Villa Noailles. The event showcased a retrospective by David Giroire, discussions led by India Mahdavi, and a pétanque tournament. Among the finalists in product design were Matisse Vrignaud and Lundja Medjoub, who secured a residency for their innovative candle clocks, along with Yohan Thomas’ lamp and Eduardo Altamirano’s speaker, which earned the public prize. The jury's grand prize was awarded to Ecuador's Tin Ayala for his reinterpretation of Andean ceramics. In the realm of interior design, Valentin Bayoud was recognized for his water-based hearth.
