DART Festival Opens Call for 2026 Edition in Barcelona, Focusing on Documentary Art Films

The ninth edition of the DART Festival is now accepting submissions for its event in Barcelona, scheduled for November 26 to 28, 2026. Established in 2017, the festival emphasizes the role of documentary films within contemporary art, welcoming artists, filmmakers, production companies, and distributors for a global selection. Topics covered include art history, contemporary practices, design, architecture, and photography. There are no restrictions on film duration, genre, or narrative, but all entries must be produced after January 1, 2024. Registration is open from April to September 2026, with decisions announced by late September. Films should be in their original language, accompanied by English or Spanish subtitles, and the festival features both national and international documentary categories, fostering dialogue at local and global levels, including expansion into Chilean cities.
