Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels to Make Southern Hemisphere Debut at Sydney Festival 2027

festival-fair · 2026-10-14

The Southern Hemisphere edition of Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels, a contemporary dance festival, will launch in Sydney from January 7 to 25, 2027, in collaboration with Sydney Festival. This event showcases 13 dance companies, featuring Australia's Marrugeku with their performance Ngurragabu. Notable acts include Trisha Brown Dance Company's Roof Piece and Rachid Ouramdane's Outsider. Performances will take place at venues such as Carriageworks, Sydney Opera House, and The Cutaway. The Sydney edition was inspired by Serge Laurent's visit to Australia in 2020. The initiative began in 2020, with the inaugural festival held in London in March 2022, and will present two new works: Ngurragabu and CROSSOVER by (LA)HORDE, promoting dialogue about dance as an art form.
