Cyril Lancelin's CUBE GRAPHICS Lights Up Marina Bay Sands for i Light Singapore
French artist and designer Cyril Lancelin, working through Town and Concrete, has unveiled CUBE GRAPHICS at Marina Bay Sands for i Light Singapore. The walkable public artwork transforms a cubic volume into an immersive environment using a dense array of tubular elements that create moiré-like visual effects. Visitors can enter and navigate the structure, which shifts between architecture, sculpture, and digital imagery. Inside, color gradients, reflections, and illuminated surfaces produce a luminous interior contrasting with the monochromatic exterior. The installation relies on viewer movement to activate its optical qualities. After dark, artificial lighting amplifies layered patterns and saturated colors. The project is produced by Pico, managed by kdArt, and photographed by Vincent Ling, SY2, and I Light Festival.
