Creative Boom IRL Launches Free Networking Events for UK Creative Professionals

Creative Boom IRL is a series of informal gatherings for creative professionals across Britain, initiated in early 2025. These free events, hosted by local volunteers from The Studio, Creative Boom's online community, aim to foster face-to-face connections among designers, illustrators, photographers, and other creatives. The inaugural event took place in Manchester in April 2025, with subsequent gatherings in cities including Sheffield, Durham, Leeds, Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Belfast, and London. The initiative responds to a perceived lack of genuine engagement on algorithm-driven social platforms, offering a relaxed, agenda-free environment for networking and community building. Participants have reported forming collaborations and inspiring educational outreach, highlighting the events' role in supporting the creative industry during challenging times.
