Costume Party and Swing Ball at Musée Bourdelle

On an exceptional late-night opening, the Musée Bourdelle in Paris invites visitors to dress as an artist and explore the temporary exhibition 'L’étoffe de l’artiste. De Rosa Bonheur à Sonia Delaunay' in a festive atmosphere. Attendees are encouraged to interpret artist elegance with painter’s smocks, lavallière ties, or studio costumes, and a photobooth allows them to capture their outfits as a souvenir. Flash tours of the exhibition are offered at 6:00 pm, 6:45 pm, and 7:15 pm (sign-up on site), revealing how artists used clothing as a means of expression. From 8:00 pm to 10:15 pm, the focus shifts to dance: after an initiation to 1930s swing dances led by instructors from the Shake that Swing school, participants can take to the floor for lindy hop, charleston, or jazz. Throughout the evening, the café-restaurant Le Rhodia provides light dining options or a menu specially designed for the event. The full program includes: 6:00–9:00 pm exhibition access with three 30-minute flash tours (sign-up on site at 6:00, 6:45, 7:15 pm; last entry at 8:15 pm); 6:00–8:00 pm continuous embroidery workshop 'Loup brodé' (subject to capacity); 8:00 pm swing ball opens; 8:30–9:15 pm swing dance initiation; 9:15–10:15 pm swing ball continues; food service available all evening; museum closes at 10:30 pm.
