Contemporary Art Society Announces Trip to 18th Lyon Biennale Focused on Poetic Economy

The Contemporary Art Society is organizing an international CPD trip centered on the 18th Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art, curated by Berlin-based Australian art historian Catherine Nichols. Inspired by Fluxus artist Robert Filliou's Principles of Poetic Economy, the biennale explores labor, exchange, and care, prompting a reconsideration of how economies are imagined and how art can reveal social and political structures shaping economic relations. It will be staged across both emblematic and unconventional venues in Lyon, reflecting the city's historical role as an industrial and financial hub.
