CONNEXXION Festival Explores Fragility Through Body, Nature, Technology and Memory in Savona
The Pinacoteca Civica di Savona has launched the latest edition of CONNEXXION – Festival Diffuso di Arte Contemporanea, showcasing Clarissa Falco's performance, Ceramoprosthesis, where she alters her body using ceramic prostheses. The festival revolves around the theme of fragility, inspired by Roberto Gramiccia's book, Teoria della Fragilità. Following this, Martina Fontana presented Cocoon, crafted with elderly residents from the RSA Santuario di Savona. Matteo Mandelli showcased The Algorithm Creed and concluded with The Contact, which involved grinding a lit screen that was donated to the Pinacoteca. Mandelli and Max Magaldi engaged in a discussion led by Stefano Sensi. The exhibition also features works by various artists at the former Sant'Agostino prison, including Magaldi's Vainglory, which includes 130 smartphones.
