Coachella 2026 unveils four large-scale art installations including inflatable mazes and glowing cacti

For the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California, four significant art installations have been commissioned. Curated by Raffi Lehrer of Public Art Company and Goldenvoice Art Director Paul Clemente, these works include Maze, an inflatable PVC creation by Rotterdam designer Sabine Marcelis, which features translucent arcs transitioning from cream to deep orange and illuminates at night. London architect Kyriakos Chatziparaskevas designed Starry Eyes, a 40-foot installation inspired by California's golden barrel cactus. The LADG constructed Visage Brut, a towering steel totem with anthropomorphic shapes, while the Desert Drifters Kite Club showcases eight large kites made from deadstock textiles. Returning artists Dedo Vabo present Network Operations, a three-story broadcast structure. All installations will be displayed until April 19, 2026.
