Clerkenwell Design Week 2026 Transforms London with Site-Specific Installations and Digital Shift

From May 19 to 21, 2026, London will host the 15th edition of Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW), transforming the Clerkenwell area with public displays, unique events, and site-specific installations in parks, squares, and streets. Among the pop-up structures chosen through an open call are One Bite Design's vibrant terrazzo piece, the Fountain of Technicolour, and StudioFolk's Crinkle-Crankle Bench crafted from natural stone. The medieval St Bartholomew the Great Church will once again serve as the Church of Design. On May 19, the CDW Awards will take place at Haberdashers' Hall, while The Museum of the Order of St John will showcase Spanish design. A highlight at The House of Detention will be Loom Light, a 3D-printed sculpture by MIMStudios, AI Build, and SEAM Design. Notably, this year will see a full digital overhaul, with a new app replacing printed guides and physical tickets, enabling visitors to customize their experiences.
