Christina Augustesen's acrylic 'daylight sculptures' at 3 Days of Design

Visual artist Christina Augustesen presented a series of colorful acrylic sculptures at the 3 Days of Design festival in Copenhagen, in collaboration with Danish window manufacturer Velux. The installation, titled The Power of Daylight, was held at Pas Normal Studio's exhibition space in the Nordhavn neighborhood. Augustesen's works, which she calls 'daylight sculptures,' consist of a clear base and a top made of 30 acrylic lamellas in different shades. The lamellas are placed at varying angles, causing colors to shift depending on the viewer's position and the light. Augustesen aims to evoke the gradation of colors seen at sunset or sunrise, and to draw attention to the effect of daylight on wellbeing. The festival took place from June 10 to 12, 2026, across multiple venues in Copenhagen, Denmark.
