Cecilia Chorus of New York Premieres New Works at Carnegie Hall Concert

The Cecilia Chorus of New York, under conductor Mark Shapiro, performed at Carnegie Hall on April 17. The program included the world premiere of 'A Call for the Battle to Cease' by Robert Sirota and Victoria Sirota, featuring pianist Simone Dinnerstein. Also presented was the New York premiere of Mark Buller, Leah Lax, and Beth Greenberg's Grammy-nominated 'Mass in Exile,' with guitarist David Leisner, baritone Shavon Lloyd, and the Every Voice Children's Chorus. Excerpts from Haydn's 'Mass in Time of War' completed the evening's offerings.
