Capture One Adds Wireless Tethering for Canon EOS R3 and R6 Mark III, Day-One RAW Support for EOS R8 Mark III

digital · 2026-07-15

Capture One has unveiled its latest software updates, version 16.8.6 for desktop and 4.1 for mobile. This release introduces advanced 2nd Gen Wireless Tethering for Canon's EOS R3 and R6 Mark III, alongside immediate RAW file processing capabilities for the newly announced EOS R8 Mark II. These enhancements come after similar support was introduced in May 2026 for the EOS R1 and R5 Mark II models. Mathieu Bourlion, Product Management Director, highlighted that user feedback and Canon's input motivated these improvements. Additionally, the AI-based culling feature, Assisted Review, has been upgraded for seamless use during tethering sessions.
