Capture One Adds Native Hasselblad RAW Support, Tethering by 2026
Capture One and Hasselblad have partnered to bring native support for Hasselblad RAW files (.3FR) to Capture One version 16.8.3, ending years of incompatibility. The support covers three 100-megapixel models: X2D II 100C, X2D 100C, and CFV 100C digital back. Dedicated color profiles and lens profiles for XCD lenses correct distortion, chromatic aberration, and light falloff. Tethered capture is promised before end of 2026. Phase One, which split from Capture One after Axon's 2019 acquisition, had previously competed with Hasselblad. Bronius Rudnickas, Global Marketing Manager at Hasselblad, and Rafael Orta, CEO of Capture One, both emphasized the long-requested collaboration. Capture One subscriptions range from $18 to $48.50 per month; a Pro License is $349 one-time.
