The fifth edition of CAN Ibiza closed June 29, positioning itself as a boutique alternative to larger fairs. With 30 exhibitors, two-thirds first-timers, the fair drew collectors seeking a more personal setting. Works were mostly priced under €20,000, with top sales including Stefan Brüggemann pieces up to $165,000 at Gathering. Curator Saša Bogojev pushed for ambitious presentations to counter Ibiza's tacky reputation. Galleries like Patricia Low Contemporary balanced playful and savvy offerings. Verve from São Paulo sold four pieces to a private museum in Andorra. Local gallery La Bibi reported five sales between €1,200 and €11,000. The fair's beach-friendly hours (5-10 p.m.) and VIP afterparty catered to the workation crowd.
