BUZIGAHILL S/S27 'RETURN TO SENDER 13' Debuts at Berlin Fashion Week

At Berlin Fashion Week, BUZIGAHILL presented their Spring-Summer 2027 collection, RETURN TO SENDER 13, a design system for post-independence East Africa. Photographer Anna Nowalska-Duda captured backstage imagery for KALTBLUT. The collection explores 'freedom culture' through 1960s-1970s style shifts, rejecting colonial stiffness. It reinterprets the Kaunda suit, named after Zambia's founding president Kenneth Kaunda, featuring tie-less, short-sleeved, breathable tailoring. Contrasting this relaxed energy is inspiration from Princess Elizabeth Bagaaya of the Tooro Kingdom in Uganda—a royal, Uganda's first female lawyer, actress, and first Black model on Harper's Bazaar UK cover—who used fashion as a political tool. The collection merges sharp empire cuts with liberated silhouettes, establishing a new vocabulary for modern menswear and womenswear.
