Buenos Aires International Architecture Biennial Marks 40 Years with Free Five-Week Program
The 40th anniversary of the Buenos Aires International Architecture Biennial is marked by a complimentary five-week event running from September 22 to October. The program highlights 100 architecture firms, 15 exhibitions, 50 lectures, and 40 international participants, centered around the theme HABITAR. A notable six-day forum will feature Smiljan Radić, the Pritzker Prize laureate of 2026. Established in 1985 by Jorge Glusberg, the Biennial reflects cultural transformations and includes a Central Exhibition at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. Activities will take place at various locations, including the Centro Cultural Recoleta. Marta Minujín is honored with the Premio Bienal a la Trayectoria, while other awards are determined by an international jury.
