BMW Unveils Electric i3 Sedan with Record Range on Neue Klasse Platform

BMW has introduced the i3, the first fully electric model in its 3 Series lineup. Built on the Neue Klasse electric vehicle platform, the sedan offers up to 900 kilometers of range, currently the longest of any electric vehicle in Europe. The design features a streamlined silhouette with a downsized kidney grille and integrated lighting, while the interior incorporates the Panoramic iDrive dashboard with minimal physical controls. Production is scheduled to begin at BMW's Munich plant in August 2026, with the company planning to transition exclusively to Neue Klasse electric vehicles by late 2027.
