festival-fair · 2026-09-24

The fifth edition of BLINK: A Festival of Light & Art is set to take place from October 8–11, 2026, turning Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky into a vast public art showcase spanning over 30 blocks downtown. Since its inception in 2017, BLINK has grown to become the largest free public art festival in the U.S. The upcoming event will present more than 90 large-scale projects, such as murals, interactive light displays, a live fashion show, and a skate park. Emphasizing technology and digital media, the festival will feature a record number of female artists alongside both local and international talent. Of the artists involved, 47 are newcomers while 46 return. A new kickoff event, "Ready. Set. BLINK!," will take the place of the traditional opening parade at TQL Stadium, offering a five-block community gathering with light displays, music, and food vendors before the festival spreads throughout downtown. The 2024 edition attracted over 2 million visitors and had an estimated economic impact of $205 million for Cincinnati and nearby areas. Although BLINK lasts just four nights, its influence persists through numerous murals from past editions that continue to enhance Cincinnati's streetscape. BLINK 2026 aims to contribute even more lasting art to the city's public landscape, welcoming families and individuals of all ages to interact with the installations.
