BFI London Film Festival 2026 Unveils Must-See Lineup Including Paul Thomas Anderson and Luca Guadagnino Premieres

The BFI London Film Festival is scheduled from 7 to 18 October, showcasing significant premieres and a notable restoration. Accompanying the awards campaign for One Battle After Another is Paul Thomas Anderson's 35mm concert film Cameron Winter, filmed with Benny Safdie. A recent addition to the lineup is Luca Guadagnino's biopic Artificial, which focuses on OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, following its withdrawal by Amazon MGM Studios. Mike Leigh's Tender Loving Care, featuring Kate O'Flynn, will have its British premiere as Leigh announces his retirement due to health issues. Other featured films include Andrew Haigh's A Long Winter, Ryusuke Hamaguchi's All of a Sudden, and Jordan Firstman's Club Kid. A 4K restoration of Ken Russell's The Devils will also be screened, alongside Javier Ambrossi's La Bola Negra and Andrey Zvyagintsev's Minotaur. Sofia Coppola's Making Marie Antoinette, which condenses over 80 hours of footage, comes after the passing of Eleanor Coppola in 2024.
