Berlin Fashion Week 2026: METAMORPHOSIS, RAUM.Berlin, and Studio2Retail Redefine Design
Berlin Fashion Week has evolved into a critical global hub where creative autonomy meets industrial evolution, emphasizing sustainability, localized retail, and progressive design. The season is structured around three pillars: METAMORPHOSIS, RAUM.Berlin, and Studio2Retail. METAMORPHOSIS, powered by eBay, is a talk series from July 3–5, 2026, at Hotel Amano East Side Berlin, featuring industry leaders like Sofie Delva (CEO of CIFF), Muchaneta Ten Napel (Founder of Shape Innovate), Angel Nemov (Business of Fashion), and returning voices Scott Lipinski, Alizee Verstraeten, and Fatima Njoya. RAUM.Berlin returns for its third iteration at John Jahr Haus (Kurfürstenstraße 72-74) over four days, presenting 16 designers including Lennart Bohle, Laura de Sousa, Anne Bernecker, and Natascha von Hirschhausen, who explore craft, zero-waste, and installation. Studio2Retail decentralizes the experience with activations across Berlin: Richert Beil opens a permanent location in a preserved historic pharmacy; Dennis Chuene opens his Kreuzberg atelier; Lou de Bètoly presents lace, knitwear, and beadwork with a pop-up; Ioannes hosts an Open Studio; Plaid-à-Porter presents UNSEASONAL examining climate crisis; and Esther Perbandt launches Black Hearts at Fotografiska. The event is driven by Fashion Council Germany and supported by Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie.
