Benjamin Millepied Takes Over Folies Bergère with Three-Week Dance Cycle

Choreographer Benjamin Millepied will present a three-week dance cycle at the Folies Bergère in Paris, from November 9 to 29, 2026. The cycle comprises three distinct productions, each occupying the historic venue that traditionally hosts cabaret revues. The first, 'Barbara, du bout des lèvres,' runs November 9–22, with tickets starting at 25 €. It features the repertoire of singer Barbara interpreted by dancers of different generations on a bare stage. The second, 'Move Me Once More,' co-created with filmmaker Léa Mysius, runs November 17–29 (tickets from 35 €). It begins with a body discovered after a storm and uses dance, voice, and song to bring it back to life, adopting a cabaret form suited to the venue. The cycle concludes with 'Summerland,' November 24–29, centered on November Ultra, who composes and performs on stage within a luminous space inspired by James Turrell. All choreography is by Benjamin Millepied, with production by Paris Danse. The Folies Bergère is located at 32 rue Richer, 75009 Paris, accessible via Métro Cadet (line 7) and Grands Boulevards (lines 8, 9). The event is also featured in the publication's selection of new performances.
