Beaux Arts' summer cultural picks across France

Beaux Arts magazine has curated a list of ten cultural events across France for July and August 2026. Highlights include: Fabrice Hyber opening his creative lab for the first time at 'Hors pistes / Hors champs' festival in Pays de la Loire (July 1-15), co-organized with Centre Pompidou; Villa Belleville in Paris celebrating its 10th anniversary with a free exhibition of 43 artists (July 2-12); Les Nuits de la Mayenne outdoor theater festival (July 15-August 5) featuring literary concerts and plays; Hyperobjets contemporary art trail in Pleurtuit, Ille-et-Vilaine (July 11-19) with free entry; Les Estivales du Haut Calavon at Domaine Les Davids in Luberon (July 27-31) with philosopher Vinciane Despret as godmother; Souillac en jazz 50th edition in Dordogne (July 17-25) with international musicians; Lire à la plage literary festival in Seine-Maritime (July 4-August 23) with 13 beach reading cabins; Exporama art trail in Rennes (June 19-September 20) including the former Jacques-Cartier prison; L'Été du canal along the Ourcq Canal (June 27-August 9) with free weekend activities; and Salon Paréidolie contemporary drawing fair at Château de Servières in Marseille (August 28-30), alongside Art-O-Rama.
