Beatrice Zerbini on love poetry and trust ahead of Taobuk 2026

Poet Beatrice Zerbini (born 1983, Bologna) will speak at the Taobuk – Taormina Book Festival, running June 18–22 in Taormina, directed by Antonella Ferrara, on the theme of trust. Zerbini, whose work centers on love, loss, and care through psychotherapy, has published collections including 'In comode rate. Poesie d’amore' (2019, preface by Alba Donati), 'Mezze Stagioni' (2021), 'D’Amore' (2022, preface by Alberto Bertoni), and 'Quarantadue' (2024, Samuele Editore). She has also co-created illustrated books with Sonia Maria Luce Possentini: 'Padre nostro' (February 2023), 'Non avere paura' (October 2023), and 'C’era un’estate' (June 2024). A new illustrated book with Gabriella Giandelli is due in September 2026. In an interview, Zerbini discusses love as the motor of her poetry, the dialogue between text and image, and her upcoming Taobuk intervention on self-trust on June 19. She reflects on authenticity versus appearance, and her personal journey toward accepting her own face rather than altering it. The festival hosts over 200 authors including Dacia Maraini and Jan Brokken.
