A new Chrome extension called Batch for Google Photos addresses a long-standing gap in Google Photos by enabling batch editing. Created by Yair Levin, the extension allows users to apply edits like Auto Enhance, filters, cropping, rotation, and metadata changes across multiple images simultaneously. It operates directly within Google Photos, ensuring photos never leave the platform. The free tier supports up to 25 photos per month; Plus ($6.99/month or $55/year) covers 500 photos; Pro ($24.99/month or $199/year) offers unlimited usage and bulk revert. The extension targets high-volume workflows for wedding photographers, real estate photographers, and everyday users. Levin developed it after a family trip with 240 photos needing individual edits. Google Photos has over 1.5 billion monthly users but lacked batch editing, a feature requested since at least February 2019 in support forums.
