AV17 Gallery to Present Žilvinas Kempinas at Artissima 2026 in Turin

Lithuanian artist Žilvinas Kempinas will be featured by (AV17) Gallery, Vilnius, at Artissima 2026, a leading Italian contemporary art fair, in autumn 2026. The gallery's presentation centers on Kempinas' investigations of movement, perception, light and space, in which ordinary materials and physical forces are turned into dynamic, frequently immersive visual encounters. Since 1997 Kempinas has been based in New York, where his practice has carved out a position between sculpture, installation and perception-based art. Elements such as magnetic tape, light, air and gravity function as active agents in his pieces, generating situations that shift with the viewer's movement and the surrounding environment. For Artissima, AV17 Gallery will show a selection of works devoted to perception, movement and physical forces. The presentation is scheduled for autumn 2026 at Artissima in Italy.
