Art21 and CHANEL Culture Fund Launch Social Media Documentary Series on Contemporary Artists
Art21 and CHANEL Culture Fund have partnered to launch 'IRL/url,' a series of over 30 short documentary films designed for social media platforms. The series, premiering on November 14, 2025, profiles eight contemporary artists whose work explores identity in digital and physical realms. Episodes will be released on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays through January 2026 on Art21's TikTok, YouTube, and website, with highlights on Instagram. The collaboration marks the first between the two organizations, aiming to reach new audiences through platforms like TikTok with vertical video formats. The selected artists, born during the digital revolution, were chosen for their engagement with hybrid realities.
