Art OnO Fair in Seoul Redefines Art Fair Experience with Non-Commercial Focus

The Art OnO art fair, running through April 5, 2026 in Seoul, South Korea, represents an innovative approach to traditional art fair models. Founded and directed by collector and entrepreneur JaeMyung Noh (born 1990), the three-year-old event distinguishes itself by allocating 50% of its exhibition space to non-commercial activities rather than gallery sales. Located in a functional mini-exhibition center in Gangnam's outskirts, the fair features 11 exhibitions across three pavilions, alongside museum and foundation displays, creative workshops, children's programming, guided tours, and an auditorium for talks. With only 35 participating galleries, the fair emphasizes visitor experience through six high-quality food and beverage outlets selected from Seoul's best establishments, plus sections for archives, multiples, and merchandise. Noh acknowledges the current economic unsustainability, personally funding the project since 2024 while aiming to build long-term value.
