Art Brussels Panel on April 26 Features Artists Du Bois, Wright, Dobbels Moderated by Schramme

Art Brussels will present a panel discussion titled "Ethics, Sustainability and Creativity in the Practice of Three Artists" on Sunday, 26 April, from 2–2:50 PM at the Tribune. The panel will feature Arpaïs Du Bois from Gallery FIFTY ONE, Cindy Wright from Belgian Gallery, and Griet Dobbels from Emergent, with moderation by Prof. Dr. Annick Schramme. Du Bois (°1973) is known for his intricate drawings and paintings that delve into perception. Wright (b. 1972, Herentals, Belgium) creates realistic portrayals of ordinary items, contemplating themes of mortality. Dobbels, a Royal College of Art alumna (1996), engages with various media, examining concepts of grandeur and emptiness. She has participated in residencies in Jerusalem and Ramallah (2021-2023) and at Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto (2017-'18). Schramme serves as a professor at the University of Antwerp and leads the Flemish Government's Strategic Advisory Board for Culture.
