Arquia/próxima festival lands in Barcelona for its 10th edition
The Fundación Arquia will hold the 10th edition of arquia/próxima on October 22-23, 2026, at the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona. This year's theme is “TERRITORIO,” curated by architect José María Sánchez García, focusing on architecture's response to environmental challenges. Over 700 entries from the fields of architecture, art, and design were submitted, with a jury featuring Begoña de Abajo and others selecting 128 finalists, now available online. The 24 finalists will be announced in September, while winners will be revealed at the event. Since its launch in 2006, the festival has showcased innovative design, adapting to various Spanish cities.
