ArPa Launches Buenos Aires Edition at Casa Victoria Ocampo with 20 Galleries
The São Paulo-based art fair, ArPa, is set to make its South American debut in Buenos Aires from September 16 to 20. This inaugural event will showcase 20 galleries, primarily from the local scene, featuring Brazilian participants like Almeida & Dale and Mendes Wood DM. Taking place at Casa Victoria Ocampo, a modernist building erected in 1928, the fair focuses on curated displays with a limited number of artists per booth. Director Camila Barella seeks to encourage conversations between contemporary and historical artists. The venue holds historical relevance, having been associated with the founding of Sur magazine by Victoria Ocampo in 1931. Admission is free, but advance reservations are required via the fair's website.
