festival-fair · 2026-09-05

From September 1 to 5, 2026, Amsterdam Fashion Week (AFW) showcased more than 40 events and shows throughout the city. This year's program featured both rising and established designers and represented the second phase of AFW's collaboration with Copenhagen Fashion Week, introducing Sustainability Requirements ahead of a complete implementation scheduled for September 2027. The opening dinner, held at a canal house, welcomed 130 attendees and was designed by Sabine Marcelis in partnership with SolidNature. Among the standout presentations were Ruben Jurriën's 'Maak Nederland weer Gezellig!' at Molen van West, The New Originals' 'Home Is Where the Heart Is' at Nxt Museum, Youngjin Choe's 'Shadow Stepping' at Rijksmuseum, and Camiel Fortgens' SS27 show in an Albert Heijn supermarket.
