Amman Design Week 2026 Returns After Seven Years with 220+ Creatives
After a seven-year break, Amman Design Week is back for its fourth edition, taking place until 17 October with the theme Accumulations. Hosted at the Hangar in Ras El Ain, the event showcases over 220 regional artists at various venues. Architect Faysal Tabbarah is responsible for curating exhibitions that explore functional design. Dima Srouji's Ahl Al Bayt (2026) installation at Iraq Al Amir features blown-glass snails and figs, while Civil Architecture's Folly (2026) in Ras El Ain Park boasts a canopy made of glazed tiles. Within the Hangar, Laith Matarweh Studio's Al-Mastaba (2026) offers a glimpse of a future ruin bench. The initiative aims to function as a year-round cultural ecosystem, with many pieces serving as prototypes and seed projects.
