Alāsu Works launches browser-based generative tool for musicians to create trippy visualisers

Alāsu Works' designers, Alex Koxias and Iris Loi, have developed Mlink Tool, a generative artwork design platform accessible via web browsers for Mlink Records, an electronic music label based in Athens. This innovative tool enables musicians to craft personalized visualizers for their tracks by utilizing modular shapes, repetition, mirroring, rhythm, and shifting structures—elements inherent to electronic music, such as sequencing and loops. Users can randomize colors and shapes, modify animation speeds, and create effects like quivering rows or melting blobs, reminiscent of early MS Paint. The tool is entirely free, lacking any paywalls or monetization, and is also suitable for creating posters or fine art. Koxias and Loi view creative coding as integral to the design process, not just an additional layer, and have no intentions to expand the tool, aiming instead to evoke the playful spirit of interactive websites that emphasize visual exploration for musicians.
