Akademie Schloss Solitude Opens Web Residencies No. 22 for Digital Artists

The Akademie Schloss Solitude has announced the launch of Web Residencies No. 22, named Ignore All Previous Instructions, curated by the Berlin-based artist collective ! Mediengruppe Bitnik. Marking its tenth anniversary, this edition encourages artists to critically examine technological frameworks such as surveillance capitalism and artificial intelligence. From 22 September to 22 October 2026, six selected participants will benefit from a four-week online residency and a grant of €1,200, alongside an optional coding workshop scheduled for 17 September 2026. Interested applicants can submit their proposals until 7 August 2026 at 6:00 PM CEST, including a project concept, presentation format, biography, project summary, awards list, a PDF portfolio (max 10 pages), and links to prior works. Projects may be either new or in progress.
