AI-Collaborated Molière Play Premieres at Paris Festival

A new theatrical work attributed to Molière, created through collaboration with artificial intelligence, will debut at an inaugural festival in Paris. The production titled 'L’Astrologue ou les Faux Présages' represents a three-year development effort by the Théâtre Molière Sorbonne and a collective of three artists. This creative endeavor imagines what the celebrated French playwright might have written had he lived longer, using AI technology to generate content in his stylistic tradition. The play will be featured during the first edition of Noûs, a festival dedicated to exploring intersections between artistic practice and artificial intelligence. This event will take place at the Bibliothèque nationale de France from April 9 through April 19. The festival represents a significant institutional engagement with AI's role in cultural production, bringing together technological innovation with historical literary legacy.
