Adobe Illustrator Introduces Turntable Feature for Vector Motion Creation

Adobe has integrated a new feature called Turntable into its Illustrator software as of March 30, 2026. This tool allows designers to generate multi-angle perspectives from single vector illustrations, enabling characters to rotate and objects to shift viewpoint without manual redrawing. Initially previewed at Adobe MAX, the functionality has been developed into a practical workflow component. It reduces the time required for creating turnarounds and lowers barriers to motion experimentation, facilitating quick idea testing and adjustments. The feature is being utilized across various creative fields: animation teams for character rotation mockups, game designers for 360-degree concept art, and social media teams for producing GIFs and micro-animations directly within Illustrator. For more complex projects, Turntable outputs can be seamlessly transferred to Adobe After Effects. This addition is part of broader Illustrator enhancements that include performance improvements and AI-driven tools like Generative Shape Fill, aimed at making the software more responsive to contemporary design practices.
