Accordionist Julien Beautemps Performs 'Symphonics' Album Release Concert at Salle Cortot
Accordionist Julien Beautemps, who has received a nomination for the Victoires de la musique 2026, will perform at Salle Cortot to promote his album 'Symphonics'. The concert's repertoire features Viktor Vlasov's 'Vesnyanka', Rachmaninov's 'Barcarolle' op.10, and Erwin Schulhoff's 'Symphony No. 2', which Beautemps has arranged. Additionally, the program includes Patrick Busseuil's 'Swizzle Sticks: 4 Toccatas for Accordion', along with excerpts from Mozart's 'Requiem' and Beautemps's own 'Sonate No. 1 Inferno'. Beautemps finds joy in composing, often doing so in a TGV bar car, and considers 'Symphonics' a vast fresco that goes beyond conventional orchestration. He has garnered multiple awards and collaborated with prominent French soloists. The concert is in partnership with Club Artistik Rezo.
