5th Estivales du Haut-Calavon Festival Unites Nature and Culture in Luberon

The 5th edition of Les Estivales du Haut-Calavon takes place from July 27 to 31, 2026, in the Luberon region of France. The festival, initiated by Sophie Le Clercq with artistic direction by Renaud Huberlant, brings together nature and culture. Actress Agnès Jaoui is the guest of honor, performing with Ensemble Canto Allegre. Philosopher Vinciane Despret serves as godmother, curating the theme "peuples des mers, des terres et des cieux" with contributions from Compagnie de Massimo Furlan and Claire de Ribaupierre, authors Pierre-Olivier Dittmar and Laure Limongi. A current affairs debate features Charles Dantzig, Pierre Haski, and Thomas Snégaroff. Performances include pianist Vanessa Wagner, saxophonist Raphaël Imbert in duo with philosopher Martin Legros, and novelist Bart Van Loo. Films by Dominique Gros document water presence in the Calavon river. At Musée de Salagon, an exhibition of painter Yves Zurstrassen is curated by Yannick Mercoyrol. At Domaine Les Davids, exhibitions feature landscape architect Bas Smets & Éliane Le Roux, press cartoonist Pierre Kroll, and artist Christine Mawet. Workshops include writing with Coraline Soulier, creative darning with Toufan Hosseiny, and printing with Christine, Éliane, and Grafikas. The festival is held at the Domaine Les Davids vineyard, featuring a sculpture walk and an outdoor theater.
