3daysofdesign 2026: Flexibility, Craftsmanship, and Shared Spaces in Copenhagen

The 2026 edition of 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen, under the theme 'Make This Moment Matter', showcased design trends emphasizing flexibility, craftsmanship, and playful social interaction. Italian furniture firm Secolo and Danish multidisciplinary studio TABLEAU collaborated on 'The Drawing Room', featuring a 10-meter modular sofa. Japanese brand Stellar Works, in partnership with Space Copenhagen, presented the Atelier Modular Sofa System. Craftsmanship was highlighted by A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE, a collaboration between Issey Miyake's 1998 fabric and Swiss studio atelier oï, producing unique lamps. Homo Faber's exhibition 'Today's Masters Meet Tomorrow's Talents' paired 22 master artisans with emerging artists. The Royal Danish Academy's 'Here & Now' show featured sustainable student works. Collectible design was explored by Danish platform Ukurant with 26 pieces in a former industrial laundry, and by 'Objects of Desire' curated by Birgitte Due Madsen at Thorvaldsen's Museum. Playful design included Mesura's yellow cushion 'pool' at Vipp's showroom, inspired by midsummer, and 'Playroom' by Durat, Finearte, and Johanna Gullichsen.
