18th Lyon Biennale Final Artist List Announced
Scheduled to take place from 19 September to 13 December 2026, the 18th Lyon Biennale, titled "To pass from one dream to another," will be hosted at 11 locations throughout Lyon. Curated by Catherine Nichols, with Isabelle Bertolotti serving as the artistic director, the event showcases 120 artists, such as Yasmeen Al Daya, Monira Al Qadiri, Joyce Joumaa, Sirag Sesetyan, Huda Takriti, and Can Yıldırım & Lalin Mercan. Drawing inspiration from Lyon's traboules and Walter Benjamin's "The Arcades Project," the biennale delves into themes of movement, transition, and concealed urban narratives, re-evaluating the concept of economy to emphasize care and connection, influenced by Robert Filliou's "Principes d'économie poétique." The complete list of artists features many prominent figures.
