1,000 LED Drones Transform Taipei Skyline into Exhibition Space for COMPUTEX 2026

digital · 2026-06-20

During the 2026 COMPUTEX × InnoVEX trade fair, held from June 2 to June 5, 2026, Taipei's Xinyi District was illuminated by a spectacular display featuring 1,000 LED drones. This twelve-minute show, situated between TAIPEI 101 and Taipei City Hall Plaza, integrated aerial choreography with digital media and architecture. The creative vision was spearheaded by Project Director Yu-Ying Chen, while Noki Asia Limited was responsible for the drone formations and animations. Taiwan Swarm Innovation Inc. managed the flight systems and adapted the choreography. The formations highlighted themes related to Taiwan's semiconductor sector and AI, including a segment showcasing a robotic figure alongside TAIPEI 101. Titled 'Digital Fireworks,' this performance served as a zero-emission substitute for traditional fireworks and was organized by the Taipei Computer Association (TCA).
